Pemac Projects Pvt Ltd

In today’s modern Era, Wastewater management is one of the most difficult challenges, necessitating the use of modern wastewater treatment plants or Effluent treatment Plant.

Effluent treatment plant (ETP), is a waste water treatment process used to treat waste water and comply with pollution control board disposal standards and norms.

ETP plants treat wastewater for impurities such as organic matter, inorganic matter, heavy metals, oil and grease, suspended particles, and so on.

Pemac’s Effluent treatment plants are designed to provide eco-friendly and natural treatment using the biological treatment approach. Microbes eliminate organic materials from effluent, resulting in clean water for non-potable use or safe disposal in drainage or river bodies (as per regulations).

Pemac’s Plants are designed:

1. To maintain treated water as per the regulations & standards.

2. With operating costs for effluent treatment.

3. With Lower capital cost

4. With compact area

5. With low utilities, treated effluent water can be used.

Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD)

Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) is an advanced water treatment technique for producing clean, reusable water.

Pemac’s Zero Liquid discharge employs Multi effect Evaporation (MEE) technique for higher water recovery thus saving the water cost efficiently by recycling or evaporating it, leaving zero liquid waste for discharge.

Pemac’s Zero liquid discharge plants are designed:

1. To produce clean water and recycle almost all water back to process or system, ensuring minimal environmental impact.

2. To greatly decrease impart on environment by eliminating liquid discharge.

3. To reduce the need for fresh or potable water requirement. Thus saving utility cost.

Key Components of a ZLD System:

Pre-Treatment: Similar to ETP pre-treatment to remove large particles and oil residues.

Evaporation: Multiple Effect Evaporators (MEE) or Mechanical Vapor Recompression (MVR) systems concentrate wastewater by evaporating water.

Crystallization: Further concentration of wastewater until dissolved solids crystallize.

Solid Waste Management: Crystallized solids are collected and disposed of according to environmental regulations.

Water Recovery: Distilled water from the evaporation process is reused in the plant, promoting water conservation.

Importance of ETP & ZLD in Edible Oil Industry

Environmental Compliance: Adheres to national and international effluent discharge standards.

Resource Optimization: Recycles and reuses water, reducing freshwater intake.

Cost Efficiency: Reduces costs associated with water procurement and effluent disposal.

Sustainability: Supports corporate sustainability goals and reduces the environmental footprint of oil processing operations.

Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP) and Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) systems are essential for edible oil refinery and solvent extraction plants. By implementing these systems, industries not only comply with regulatory requirements but also contribute to environmental sustainability through efficient water management and waste minimization. Partnering with experienced plant manufacturers ensures the design and installation of reliable and efficient wastewater treatment solutions tailored to the specific needs of edible oil processing facilities.
